Description

Climb through the rabbit hole to a world of colorful archways and rainbow rollers. Create an enchanting course for little balls to navigate through, around, and in. Let your little one play with size, shape, preposition, and architecture; all in one ready-to-gift, ready-to-play set. A little like table-top bowling….a little like croquet…this unique Shoot for the Rainbow Play Set is sure to entice your little one’s imagination and ignite creative exploration through play. What will you find at the end of the rainbow is entirely up to you. Magic. Whimsy. Open-ended fun. Shoot for the Rainbow and you won’t be disappointed….for even if you miss you will be delighted by the magic of it’s colors and inspired by its shape.

Each Shoot for the Rainbow Play Set measures approximately 9” wide and 5.5” high.
Each piece has been hand-cut, gently sanded, and painted with an eco-friendly, non-toxic, plant-based paint. The rainbow is then lightly sealed with all-natural beeswax to intensify its color and add a little glow.

The Shoot for the Rainbow Play Set is a great toy to inspire open-ended play; imaginative thinking; creative problem solving; and explore about simple Science concepts; such as distance, size, shape, and momentum.

The smallest ball measures only ¾ in diameter, making this toy unsuitable for children under 3 or those who still put toys in their mouths. You know your little one best. As with all toys, children should be supervised while at play.

All of my creations were made with your little one in mind. Each piece was designed to nurture child development through open-ended play. These pieces can be used to broaden your little one’s understanding and knowledge of our world and were created as early educational toys. I am inspired by the teachings of Montessori; the natural beauty of Waldorf; and incorporate a myriad of other learning-through-play philosophies when I design. It makes me smile to see my made-with-love pieces being toted for use as preschool toys and in natural play settings. Thank you for helping me support little minds, bodies, and imaginations through engaging, hands-on play and discovery.

Founder and principle designer, Jessica Perkins, has been creating for as long as she can remember, originally helping her mama with her handmade toy store over 20 years ago. With the birth of her children, and all the new little people in her life, Jessica found herself searching for toys that met her educational and design standards.

Inspired by these little explorers, and her understanding of Montessori and Waldorf methodologies, Jessica Perkins began making all of her creations with the belief that children make sense of their world through sensing their world. After years of making, creating, and gifting her creations to friends and family, Jessica decided to start selling her goodies. Since the launch of Mama May i in 2009, Jessica’s passion for artistic expression through toys has blossomed into a business supported by mama’s and papa’s all over the world.

With this learning through play philosophy in mind, Mama May i encourages kids, both big and small, to dive in, make a splash, a scribble, or an inquisitive fiddle on the memories we share together.
