Description
The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Lacing Tree.
Fall. The leafy flying field of freely floating trees…and the breeze of the warm September air. So many wonderful colors to be sought. So many warm fragrances to be nuzzled. A combination of cool and warm…the beginning of a season filled with apple picking and pie baking and merry making. Entice your little ones autumn senses with this hand-cut apple tree…the first in an orchard of playful learning. This unique apple tree was cut and painted with one of our favorite Fall activities in mind – Apple Picking. Let your little one’s imagination grow with these little button apples. Place them on the tree and count them as you go. Use the holes to sharpen fine motor skills by lacing the leather twine through the branches, weaving through the leaves. For advanced fingers, your little farmer can attach the apple buttons to the lacing tree and “pick” them off again when they are through. A great addition to a Seasonal Tabletop, or Autumn Sensory Bin, this little giving tree is sure to entice your little one to see the magic in the Fall.
Each Lacing Tree measures approximate 6 inches tall and about 5 inches wide. It has been hand cut from poplar, sanded, hand painted using a Soy based pigment, and then lightly sealed with beeswax and jojoba oil.
Each Lacing Tree will come with 5 button apples and a piece of leather lace in a muslin drawstring pouch for easy put-away and tote-ability.

All of my creations were made with your little one in mind. Each piece was designed to nurture child development through open-ended play. These pieces can be used to broaden your little one’s understanding and knowledge of our world and were created as early educational toys. I am inspired by the teachings of Montessori; the natural beauty of Waldorf; and incorporate a myriad of other learning-through-play philosophies when I design. It makes me smile to see my made-with-love pieces being toted for use as preschool toys and in natural play settings. Thank you for helping me support little minds, bodies, and imaginations through engaging, hands-on play and discovery.
