Let’s continue the Counting Series with a handful of honeycombs perfect for spring sorting. Each colorful hive is the perfect size to be picked up with chopsticks or spoons. These little cuties are great for transferring activities, color sorting, counting, classifying, and pretend play. The Color Sorting Bowls make the perfect pairing for color matching and sorting exploration.
These Bee Hives have been hand painted with a nontoxic water based wash. They have been lightly sealed with a combination of organic beeswax and jojoba oil to keep the colors vibrant.
Each set comes with 18 honey hives, in a drawstring pouch:
*This Listing is for the hives only, not the Color Sorting Bowls which can be found in the Toys section of my shop.
Each hive measures a little more than 1″ tall. Due to their size, they are not meant for children who still put things in their mouths as they could present a choking hazard. As with ALL toys, children should be supervised while at play.
All of my creations are intended to aid in child development and be used as early educational toys. I am inspired by Montessori, Waldorf, and other philosophies of learning through play, and it makes me smile to see these made with love pieces being toted for use in natural play and as preschool toys.
