I am excited to be offering a new line of products complimentary to all the others before them. Amazed and enthused, I watched little hands at my last craft show take pieces from this set and bring them over to that set. They combined the colors and shapes and pretended their way through storylines created. I got a front row seat…watching as the imagination of childhood thought unfolded. Play.

How I am awed by these mind-full tinkerings…Every Time. And here, in this new collection, you will find more pieces to gather, collect, manifest, pretend, play, and explore. Beautiful enough to display in any nursery, child’s room, or home. The colors suck you in and soon you will find yourself playing with them. Tinkering with the colorful pieces. Telling stories with their whimsical shapes. Incorporating them in everyday play. And learning with their little details and simplistic nature.

Let these rainbow homes inspire a warm and colorful neighborhood for little people to explore and little hands to help build. Add some rainbow friends, cups as planters, trees for landscape and listen to the magic of pretend play while your little one takes on the role of community keeper.

These houses offer an opportunity to talk about:

Size relation – small, medium, large
Opposites – short/tall and fat/thin and narrow/wide
Complimentary Colors – the houses that are the same shape are opposite colors red/green, orange/blue, yellow/purple
Warm and Cool Colors – Each Village comes with two sets of homes in both warm and cool colors to create a visual for teachings in art

The large house measures approximately 7.5″ tall and 3.5″ wide
The medium house measures approximately 5.5″ tall and 4.5″ wide
The small house measures approximately 4.5″ tall and 5.5″ wide

Each house has been hand cut, sanded, stamped, painted with a non toxic watercolor wash, and lightly coated in beeswax to keep the colors vibrant.

*Though large enough for little hands, any Rainbow toy in the shop is not intended for children who still mouth things.*

* All of my creations were made with your little one in mind. Each piece was designed to nurture child development through open-ended play. These pieces can be used to broaden your little one’s understanding and knowledge of our world and were created as early educational toys. I am inspired by the teachings of Montessori; the natural beauty of Waldorf; and incorporate a myriad of other learning-through-play philosophies when I design.
