A Rainbow fun and educational way to play and learn – colors! Your little one will enjoy picking and placing colored balls into their corresponding cups. This little set is great in enhancing fine motor skills and balance while discussing colors, numbers, and simple volume concepts. My little explorer loves to “scoop” and “pour” these cups over and over again. She is especially proud when she matches the colors together appropriately. This open-ended toy provides many different ways to play – tea party, kitchen accessory, rainbow stacker…with these “tools” and a dash of imagination the play possibilities are endless.

The 6 balls each measure ¾ inch in diameter – The cups measure almost 2 inches —All have been colored (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet) with certified non-toxic watercolors and lightly sealed with beeswax and jojaba oil.

The bowl measure 2 ½ inches – The Scoop measures 3 ½ inches — Both pieces are in their natural wood state

-All come in a convenient muslin drawstring pouch

* All of my creations were made with your little one in mind. Each piece was designed to nurture child development through open-ended play. These pieces can be used to broaden your little one’s understanding and knowledge of our world and were created as early educational toys. I am inspired by the teachings of Montessori; the natural beauty of Waldorf; and incorporate a myriad of other learning-through-play philosophies when I design. It makes me smile to see my made-with-love pieces being toted for use as preschool toys and in natural play settings. Thank you for helping me support little minds, bodies, and imaginations through engaging, hands-on play and discovery.

*Note: This toy is not intended for children who still mouth things. The balls measure ¾ inch in diameter. I use this as a “monitored” or “guided” toy with my little one. As with any toy, children should be supervised while at play. *

*Note: Color Varies from batch to batch depending on the watercolor wash and how the wood accepts it. *

Founder and principle designer, Jessica Perkins, has been creating for as long as she can remember, originally helping her mama with her handmade toy store over 20 years ago. With the birth of her children, and all the new little people in her life, Jessica found herself searching for toys that met her educational and design standards.

Inspired by these little explorers, and her understanding of Montessori and Waldorf methodologies, Jessica Perkins began making all of her creations with the belief that children make sense of their world through sensing their world. After years of making, creating, and gifting her creations to friends and family, Jessica decided to start selling her goodies. Since the launch of Mama May i in 2009, Jessica’s passion for artistic expression through toys has blossomed into a business supported by mama’s and papa’s all over the world.

With this learning through play philosophy in mind, Mama May i encourages kids, both big and small, to dive in, make a splash, a scribble, or an inquisitive fiddle on the memories we share together.
