Kids will love the story and have fun matching and sorting the socks. The story revolves around practical applications of the math concept being presented and the felt pieces will reinforce the concept and give young children practice time. This pattern allows you to make a variety of socks to sort. Make them all plain if you want to sort just by color or make them all the same color and add geometric shapes to the socks and sort by shapes. Or make them with thin stripes and wide stripes and sort by size.
