Description
Pattern Board – such a simple but engaging game of matching colors. Watch your little explorer delight in fitting the tiny balls onto the pattern board. Watch as problem solving becomes a part of play; finding the way to mimic what’s seen on the pattern card. Watch fine motor skill building fit into the challenge. Pinch. Grab. Balance. Place. Next, please!
This little board is a grow-with-me game. Preschoolers can begin by picking up the balls with their pincer grasp and fitting them into the board. They can dictate color names and count the balls as the board fills up. They can try their beginning skills at using the wooden tongs to grip the balls and transfer them gently….As they grow they will get more steady with their fingers, and more coordinated with their placements. They can create simple patterns of their own or try to replicate the patterns on the pattern cards. A game of agility and skill building, this little pattern board can later turn into the classic game of tic-tac-toe.
The Pattern Board is another Mama May i open-ended classic, sure to pique your little one’s balancing ability. It will have little fingers trying to create order and little minds trying to make sense of their world.

All of my creations were made with your little one in mind. Each piece was designed to nurture child development through open-ended play. These pieces can be used to broaden your little one’s understanding and knowledge of our world and were created as early educational toys. I am inspired by the teachings of Montessori; the natural beauty of Waldorf; and incorporate a myriad of other learning-through-play philosophies when I design. It makes me smile to see my made-with-love pieces being toted for use as preschool toys and in natural play settings. Thank you for helping me support little minds, bodies, and imaginations through engaging, hands-on play and discovery.
